At the risk of sounding like a broken record, the wet weather continues to cause havoc with games. This week we had more games cancelled due to poor weather. Our eager t-ballers are joping for an improvement this week so they can finally get onto the field. On a brighter note, our teams continue to perform well. Our Men’s Firsts, Seconds and Waverley Black are all undefeated, as are both our Women’s teams. Unfortunately the hotly anticipated Women’s derby was washed out. The Firsts had a big win 7-4 over lat year’s premiers Upwey Ferntree Gully and now are clear ladder leaders. Our undefeated Seconds have a big game this weekend, coming up against Moorabbin who are also undefeated at this stage.

SHOUT OUT What about our never ending list of selfless helpers. Specials thanks to Steve Hill, JJ O’Connor, Mohi Kahui, David Peake, Geoff Paice & Brad Orwin for umpiring today And, the Queen of all helpers Michelle Flintoff for scoring two Senior games & Chris Evans, Jacquie Bright & Leonie Branson for helping out in the canteen. ITS BACK! After 3 years, Club 3150 is returning to Waverley Baseball Club and we hope to bring back lots of new and familiar faces, especially those we haven’t seen for some time. The event will include an afternoon of enjoyment, catching up and fund raising the new Multi-Purpose Training Facility. Tickets are $60 per person, or $100 for a couple and include:

• Appetisers
• Roast lunch
• Sweets to finish
• 2 hours open bar (Beer, Wine and Soft drink only, with Spirits at half price)
