Over 100 family, friends and colleagues celebrated the life of Peter Flintoff in the Tony Peek Pavilion on Sunday, February 27. Several speakers talked about Pete, along with some pre-recorded testimonials from people who couldn't be there on the day. We publish these tributes as a permanent record of a great Waverley Baseball clubman, and supporter of baseball in general.
We are saddened to advise that Brian Hill passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021. Brian was one of those people around the club who just does stuff! He never sought recognition for it and indeed seemed almost embarrassed when his contributions were recognised. A (very) quiet achiever! Awarded Life Membership in 1991. For many years Brian quietly arrived early every game day and set up our diamonds, ready for play.
